Mixed rules in ice hockey, how to place safe surebets?
As you are all aware I am sure, mixed sport rules are the most dangerous in playing arbitrages on the tennis events. One should however also note, that in the Ice hockey there are also very often differences in settlement rules.
Whereas one group of bookmakers settle asian handicaps (AH) and over/under (OU) markets after REGULAR TIME (without overtime, penalties) the other ones will count in the Overtime and subsequent penalties, for the settlement purposes.
Here is the very brief tip the Surebet Monitor Team gives to you what to actually do to avoid missettlements and avoid the risk, no matter what the rules are between the services you use.
If the rules are different (Regular Time vs Overtime Included)
You are allowed to play:
Asian handicap bets (-1,5 goals +1,5 goals and higher)
Over/under markets listed: O/U 3,5 goals, O/U 5,5 goals, O/U 7,5 goals, O/U 9,5 goals
You are not allowed to play:
Moneyline bets
Asian handicap bets (-1,25 + 1,25 and of lower value)
Over/under markets, with an exception of the above listed
Explanation = Why is that so?
The fact is that for the markets listed as the ones that you CAN play, there is no possible outcome of the ice hockey match that will result in losing of funds.
Example
Let us say that you bet on under 5,5 (Overtime included) and over 5,5 (Regular time only) goals in a hockey game.
Situation 1: The game will end 3:2 after regular time – you will basically win the under 5,5 bet.
Situation 2: The game will end 3:3 and go into the Overtime with the final outcome of 4:3 (OT) – here you will win the over 5,5 bet.
