Unibet announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Bet24’s operations. Unibet is one of the largest gambling operators in the European market. It has over 6 million customers in over 100 countries, and provides services in over 27 languages.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2012. Unibet has confirmed that it intends to integrate the Bet24 business into its existing operations by re-branding Bet24’s products and services and migrating Bet24’s customers to its own platform.
This is yet another example of the way sportsbook market is going. Following betsafe (total) and Nordicgroup (partial) evaporation now it is (truly told pathetic) Bet24 losing its independence in the Unibet‘s favor.
This will certainly affect both odds presentation on Bet24 website – I would expect Clients transfer to Unibet and Bet24 affiliate/partner system, which I think will be integrated into (going worse and worse) Unibet‘s one.
