The World Cup Contest – An online contest about the 2014 FIFA World Cup with amazing prizes
The World Cup Contest is an online contest where you can demonstrate your knowledge about football. Predict scores for all 2014 FIFA World Cup matches, earn credits and win amazing prizes. A small entrance fee will accumulate into a big prize pot to be awarded to the best ranked players. Transparency is a key feature. Check it out…
The contest is managed by a modern, fully automated web application where participants can place their predictions, and control everything about this incredible competition.
The contest will allow users to predict the correct score of each 2014 FIFA World Cup match and will award credits depending on each prediction. Credits will be awarded by the web application after each World Cup match is finished. You could earn up to 4 credits for each match if you predict the correct score, or just 1 in case you only guess one team’s goals.
Each user must subscribe to The World Cup Contest and provide some basic information in order to be able to make predictions. After confirming subscription and paying an entrance fee (Buy-in), each user will be able to make predictions about all 2014 FIFA World Cup matches. The buy in is USD 50. A small investment that will allow great prizes.
Credits will be awarded depending on your predictions and matches results. An exact score correct prediction will award 4 credits. Predicting the winner and the exact difference, or the winner and one team’s goals will award 3 credits. Predicting the winner will provide 2 credits; and predicting only one team’s goal will award 1 credit.
A well-defined prize structure will guarantee a huge profit for the best players in the ranking. Depending on the number of competitors, the best prize will be more than 100 times the buy-in price, but many other players will win. In case of 500 subscribers, the winner will get USD 4,500 (40 subscribers will receive prizes). If we reach 1,000 subscribers, the winner will get USD 6,750 (and 80 subscribers will win).
Pablo Pintaluba, Managing Director at SureBetTracker, explained the key features about this contest and what makes it different from other many contests.
We wanted to create a fun contest, supported by an easy to use application, with a familiar look and feel to all Smart Bet Tracker’s users. We wanted to ensure a fair competition, and not to generate profit to our company. All income from entrance fee goes to the prize, just keeping a marginal portion to cover implementation costs.
It’s not luck. In a match or two luck plays an important role but that’s not the case in the World Cup Contest. 64 matches guarantee there´s no room for luck.
It’s not betting. When betting you usually risk a lot of money to get a profit backing favorite teams, or you risk less money backing underdogs whose chances of winning are much lower. In any case, you lose your bet, you lose your money. At the World Cup Contest you don’t have to guess every match. And you don’t have to risk more even if you bet on favorites. Everybody will be risking the same amount.
It’s your knowledge. Analyze teams, previous matches teams’ performance, injuries, etc. and make your predictions. Update you predictions as the World Cup advances. You can place or update your predictions as many times as you like until three hours before each game, so you will be able to use all available information.
